Moringa

1Introduction

India is the world's largest producer of moringa (Moringa oleifera), supplying leaf powder, seeds, seed oil and tea cuts.

In Europe, moringa is sold as a superfood, food supplement and cosmetic ingredient. Vegan and plant-based diets, clean-label foods and organic demand are pushing growth. Moringa oleifera is not a 'novel food' in the EU, so it can be sold without special pre-approval.
